Groveland is a community within Tazewell County, Illinois. It is relatively small and is located right near the cities of Pekin and Morton. Renowned newspaper editor, journalist, and American pioneer Catherine Amanda Coburn was born there in 1839.

Groveland Community Library – The Groveland Community Library strives to be a center for education and literacy. The library has a book series called “WE BOTH READ” which are designed for parents and children to take turns reading. The library also has materials for teenagers, adults, and seniors.

Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society – The Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society is a non-profit educational research institution. The society strives to collect and preserve records, to stimulate interest in local history, and to provide educational programs about Tazewell’s past.

North Pekin Fire Department – The North Pekin Fire Department was founded in 1947. It is an all volunteer fire organization that serves North Pekin as well as the Central Groveland Fire Protection District. The department respond to over 200 medical and fire emergencies throughout the year.
